Gerber Sumo 30-001814 Black EDC-zakmes

Big affordable 'pivot-lock' knife. It flicks very pleasingly and you can, with some practise, flick it open with the thumb hole despite its size. The stonewash look of the 7Cr17MoV blade combines well with the G10 of the scales and the copper-colored coating of the liners. Some turn up their nose at 7Cr17MoV, but for a budget 'jobbing blade' I would say it's a great choice - corrosion-resistant and easy to sharpen.

Vergrendeling werkt (tot nu toe) prima en het mes is makkelijk te openen/gebruiken als je handschoenen draagt gezien de grootte. De handgreep is van G10 en geeft je een min of meer deftige textuur. Op de gebruikte staalsoort van het lemmet gaan we niet teveel letten in dit geval (waarom toch...?). Maar voor het geld dat je betaalt krijg je toch een betrouwbaar mes met leuke actie.
