This is a very large, heavy, chunky but incredibly strong and tough folding knife. The blade stock is ridiculously thick, but the flat grind comes down to a pretty thin edge nonetheless. I was able to shave my arm with it right out of the box. The knife offers plenty of grip, even for people with large hands. The way this knife is designed, it seems to be most suitable for use with gloves on. The knife came perfectly centered and was quite smooth right out of the box. The lockup is rock solid with no blade play in any direction. The tri-ad lock is very strong, and the chances of accidentally disengaging this lock are minimal. The factory edge was also very good, literally shaving sharp. There are some small cons. The pocket clip is not the most practical shape and extremely stiff. More importantly this is not the most comfortable knife to handle. There are quite a lot of sharp corners, especially the inside of the bottom part of the scales. For a knife that is made for hard use and hence tight grips this is not ideal. Wearing gloves might resolve this problem though. This knife is definitely worth the money, but I would not recommend it to everyone. Only if you really like large overbuilt knives, or if you have a specific use for this type of knife, I would recommend it.

Sr1 tanto. Erg fijn groot mes. Heb meerdere sr1’s. Bevallen allemaal. Deze is licht en soepel. Doet bijna niet onder voor de Sr1 met g10 handvat. Tanto moet je van houden. Ben meer fan van de clippoint. Maar dit is wel mooi om te zien
